Our practice of Nichiren Buddhism is one of eternal challenge. It is an unceasing struggle to win over ourselves. “What do I need to do today?” “What are my goals for this month?”—it is important to set clear targets and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo specifically about each of them.

With the lion’s roar of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, let’s vanquish all devilish functions, and bring forth powerful life force and the wisdom to deal with ever-changing circumstances.

Moving one step forward from where we were last year or even just yesterday—herein lies the joy of human revolution. Let’s get off to a running start and make this year one of wonderful victory!
