A simple greeting like “hello” said with a smile can communicate your heart to others. In October 60 years ago (1960), determined to realize the dream of my mentor, second Soka Gakkai President Josei Toda, I set out on a journey for world peace and forged heart-to-heart bonds with many people.
Friendship is a precious treasure and a powerful driving force for peace.
If we have friends who share our joys, our happiness will be multiplied. If we have friends who support and encourage us, we won’t be defeated by even the most painful or difficult challenges. I hope you’ll be brave and cheerfully greet others, and also be a good friend.
Please remember that your heartfelt efforts to widen your circle of friendship will lead to a brighter future for the world.
