Brief Guidances

Successors of Soka, Soar Into the Skies of Hope!

Words of Encouragement From Ikeda Sensei

You are the most filial person [devoted son] in all of Japan. Brahma and Shakra [the two main guardian deities of Buddhism] will descend from heaven to serve you as left and right wings, and the gods of the earth in the four directions will support your feet, revering you as their father and mother.

“On Filial and Unfilial Conduct,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 1034

Nichiren Daishonin sent these words to his young disciple Nanjo Tokimitsu [who practiced together with his parents when he was the age of today’s future division members] and later remained steadfast throughout the Atsuhara Persecution. Carrying on the heritage of faith and dedicating oneself to the great vow for kosen-rufu is the most noble path and the best way to repay one’s gratitude to one’s parents.

The Daishonin is surely applauding all our future division members around the world.

In these extremely challenging times, our young successors of Soka are chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo earnestly and working hard in studying and developing themselves. I am confident that they will one day soar forth as inspiring leaders, who are respected and admired by people everywhere!
