Happy March!

Thank you for your incredible efforts to share Buddhism and encourage fellow members as we advance peace in our communities. Your steady prayer, dialogue and sincere support for others continue to move kosen-rufu forward.

Last year, we commemorated March 16 at our discussion meetings by inviting many young friends and creating gatherings that felt relevant to what people are searching for today. Together, we experienced how a discussion meeting can become a true starting point—where hope is shared, friendships are formed and new youth begin their journey of faith.

This March, we would like to celebrate once again at the very heart of our movement: our discussion meetings.

Let’s revisit what it means to create a fun, inspiring and joyful gathering—one that makes every member say, “I can’t wait for next month’s meeting!” and leaves our friends genuinely happy they made the time to attend.

The 3-minute Gosho presentation in each month’s Living Buddhism makes powerful Buddhist concepts accessible for discussion. Within those few minutes we can convey the heart of Nichiren Buddhism—encouraging, practical and deeply relevant to daily life.

If you’re feeling stuck or unsure about what new ideas to try, let’s return to the basics: visiting members. Through one-to-one dialogue, we can draw forth everyone’s wisdom and creativity. By asking members what would make the meeting meaningful to them, we can create fresh, vibrant gatherings together.

In this way, our discussion meetings become not just scheduled activities, but living spaces of unity, joy and shared determination.

We will do the same in our districts.

Thank you again for your dedicated efforts. Let’s meet each other on the frontlines of kosen-rufu—where Ikeda Sensei’s heart is always with us.
