No treasure tower exists other than Myoho-renge-kyo. The daimoku of the Lotus Sutra is the treasure tower, and the treasure tower is Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

“On the Treasure Tower,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 299

Our founding president, Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, was born in Niigata Prefecture [on June 6, 1871], 600 years after Nichiren Daishonin was exiled to Sado Island, today part of that same prefecture. He selflessly dedicated his life to spreading the Mystic Law, just as Nichiren taught. This was a passage he regarded as very important, underlining it in red in his copy of the Daishonin’s writings.

Making our founder’s courageous spirit our own, let us continue to engage in respectful one-to-one dialogue as he did! Let us create growing forests of treasure towers—our own and others’ lives shining with supreme dignity—so that we can build treasure realms of peace and security in our societies, based on the humanistic principles of Nichiren Buddhism!
