Brief Guidances

Supporting and Encouraging Our Future Division Members

Words of Encouragement From Ikeda Sensei

I would imagine that your daughter, Oto, has become a fine, intelligent girl.

“The Supremacy of the Law,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 616

These words are addressed to a mother and daughter who together maintained steadfast faith in the Mystic Law amid great hardship.

Nichiren Daishonin loved young people and always warmly encouraged them. Today, this spirit pulses vibrantly in the Soka Gakkai’s efforts to foster the future division members.

Our Soka castle of capable people is a beacon of hope for the world. Let’s warmly support and encourage our young friends, the “torchbearers of justice,” who are working hard toward their goals, undefeated by the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Let’s all chant for the health and success of each of our precious young successors, including those preparing for school entrance examinations.[1]

Translated from the December 8, 2020 Seikyo Shimbun, the Soka Gakkai’s daily newspaper.
