As for the votaries [practitioners] of the Lotus Sutra in the Latter Day of the Law, the heavenly beings will surely guard and protect them. The Law referred to in the words [from the Lotus Sutra] “will for the sake of the Law constantly guard and protect them”[1] is Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

The heavenly deities—protective functions of the universe—will day and night safeguard all who strive for kosen-rufu in this evil latter age. This is the assurance of the Lotus Sutra.
Confident in this, let’s chant daimoku even more strongly to activate the protection of these positive forces. Let’s challenge obstacles in our lives with the great lion’s roar of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, which has the power to disperse all devilish functions, including the devil of illness.
While chanting for and enfolding our families, fellow members and friends in the boundless benefit of the Mystic Law, let’s show wonderful actual proof by leading healthy long lives, enjoying good fortune and security and changing our destiny!
