Congratulations on the most dynamic SGI-USA Women’s Day introduction-to-Buddhism celebrations, which were held across the country Feb. 25–28!

There were countless stories of individuals breaking through in their lives by challenging themselves to share Buddhism in their communities. It was as if every discussion of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo was planting a seed in people’s lives to cut off the chains of people’s suffering, and naturally joy was spreading everywhere.

One young woman planted over 30 seeds in February, with the determination to overcome her challenges staying in the country. She confidently said that the only reason she remains undefeated is because of the joy and determination she feels from sharing Buddhism. A men’s division member also joined in, confirming 12 guests, including his mother.

As a result, thousands of people experienced the warmth of the SGI family. Let’s cultivate those seeds of hope, and plant many more as we advance toward March 16, which will mark 63 years since second Soka Gakkai President Josei Toda handed the baton of kosen-rufu to Ikeda Sensei and the youth. We will hold exciting March Youth General Meetings throughout the U.S. and invite many young people to learn more about Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

In Sensei’s message to the Feb. 28, 2021, headquarters leaders meeting, he shared that a beautiful full moon had appeared the night before, which fell on Mrs. Ikeda’s birthday and SGI-USA Women’s Day. Sensei then quoted Nichiren Daishonin: “For those who have profound faith, it is as though a full moon were illuminating the night” (“The Essence of the ‘Medicine King’ Chapter,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 94).

What a joy it is to be able to fight for the happiness of others together with our mentor, who continues to encourage us with all of his might. Let’s make this a historic March with Sensei!
