Because you are always chanting the daimoku of the Lotus Sutra [Nam-myoho-renge-kyo], the character myo will change into an emissary to your [deceased] husband, or become Bodhisattva Manjushri, Bodhisattva Universal Worthy, Bodhisattva Superior Practices or Bodhisattva Never Disparaging.

Nichiren Daishonin sent these words of encouragement to a disciple who had lost her beloved husband.
The Mystic Law is the fundamental rhythm underlying all things in the universe, making the earth rotate and the sun shine. When we chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and align our lives with the Mystic Law, all Buddhas and bodhisattvas throughout the ten directions become our allies, enabling us to protect our families and friends in both life and death.
For those who chant, there is no impasse they cannot break through. They can bring forth unparalleled wisdom, courage and patience. They will be able to declare without fail that the course they have taken in life has been the very best possible.
