The SGI-USA has appointed two national-level youth leaders.
Amelia graduated last year from Antioch College in Ohio, where she studied political economy and cultural anthropology. She lives in New York and plans to apply to law school this year. Amelia is also the Harlem Heights Region young women’s leader.
“Throughout American history and around the world, students have been at the forefront of revolutionary movements,” she said. “The SGI’s movement is one of human revolution, and I determine that the student division members will live up to SGI President Ikeda’s expectations as champions of study and propagation!”
SGI-USA Future Division
Young Men’s Leader
Ryan graduated from Soka University of America in 2012 and recently completed his master’s in education at New Mexico State University. He lives in El Paso, Texas, and teaches mathematics at an alternative high school. Ryan also serves as the SGI-USA Central Territory vice young men’s leader.
“My determination is to ensure that over 6,000 junior high and high school members and friends attend the 50,000 Lions of Justice Festival,” he said. “I vow to connect the future division members, the future leaders of kosen-rufu, to SGI President Ikeda.”
