Happy Father’s Day to a Wonderful Dad
Message From the General Director
To the Dauntless Fathers of Kosen-rufu in America:
Please accept my very best wishes for a wonderful Father’s Day! Some of you may have children of your own, while others are doing your best each day as “kosen-rufu fathers,” warmly protecting and encouraging the precious young men and young women who are active in your SGI organization. In either case, I have the greatest appreciation for all that you’re doing.
SGI President Ikeda encourages the men of the SGI-USA as follows: “Kosen-rufu does not exist somewhere in the distance. It is found in your steady, day-to-day accumulation of victories over your own challenging issues in your family, in your career and in your community. Kosen-rufu means the ceaseless, noble battle of human revolution to expand the challenge of self-reformation in your community, in your society and in the entire world” (Men Shining With Youthful Brilliance, vol. 1, p. iii).
We chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo each day, engage in Buddhist dialogue to the best of our ability and study for the sake of both ourselves and others. And as we expand our joy of practice and joy of life, so, too, will our families, friends and everyone around us.
This mystic and highly significant time in our history calls us to join together in expanding our own prayer, our state of life and our courage. Let’s do our best!
Thank you for all that you are doing!
