To the precious members of the SGI-USA,
Thank you very much for your dedicated efforts to support the May Commemorative Contribution activity in 2019, the Year of Soka Victory!
We will ensure that your sincere financial contributions are used in the most effective ways to advance kosen-rufu. Members’ contributions support a wide array of activities to attract and encourage youth, strengthen the faith and practice of all our members and engage many other programs to expand our network for peace, culture and education.
In The New Human Revolution, SGI President Ikeda shares his own experience of making contributions, writing that being able to make offerings to advance our movement filled him with “joy at having had the chance to make such offerings as a Soka Gakkai member” (vol. 4, pp. 117–18).
He continued by saying that “dedicating oneself to kosen-rufu means ‘sowing good seeds in a field of fortune’ ” (p. 118).
Let’s move forward together—to study and prepare for the upcoming SGI-USA Introductory Exam and support the youth discussion meetings in July—with that very same sense of great joy.
